Matthew Quick signed his letter of commitment today to play football at Texas A&M Kingsville, an NCAA Division II program and part of the Lone Star Conference. Javelina Football has been National Champions seven times in its history. While at Texas A&M Kingsville, Matt plans to study Engineering.
Quick is a 3 year Varsity letterman for Reagan Football playing Defensive Lineman. This past season, Quick served as a senior leader and Captain for the team. He was recognized, by unanimous vote, as 28-6A First Team All District Defense and as Reagan Rattlers Defensive Big Player of the Year. Quick was also selected to play in the San Antonio Sports All Star Game, a showcase of the area’s top football talent. In his 2021 season, he was also honored as 28-6A First Team All District Defense.
In addition to football, Matt is active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). He also spent time in service volunteering at Independence Hill Retirement Village, the San Antonio Food Bank and several other NEISD events.
We wish Matt continued success on the field and in the classroom as a Javelina! You can follow him next year @JavelinaFB.
