A tough two-point loss to 2018 defending champions The Colony cost the Lady Rattlers a shot at the Gold Championship Friday at the Jack Frost Invitational in Georgetown, Texas. Another close two-point loss to Houston Hardin Jefferson placed them in 3rd place of the Silver bracket to close their weekend Saturday morning.
Several players had impressive games throughout the weekend, including K. Hawkins with 10pts/2reb/3stls against Hardin Jefferson, J. Martinez with 9pts/3asst/3stls against Ft Worth Boswell, N. Wilson with 9pts/3reb/3asst against The Colony, and B. Duran coming off the bench with 5pts/2reb against Leander Glenn. C. Iwuala and S Wagner both averaged a double/double for the tourney with 17/10 and 18/12/4 respectively. Wagner was awarded All-Tourney Honors.
The Rattlers next game is against Judson at Judson on December 10th at 7:00pm, their last non-district matchup before district play begins on December 20th against MacArthur.
