Lady Rattlers senior midfielder/forward Brooke Castillo signed her letter of intent to play soccer for Regis University in Denver, Colorado. Brooke is a four-year letterman and a senior team captain.
During her junior season, the Lady Rattlers made a deep run into the playoffs to the Elite Eight. Brooke led the team in assists with 21 and was the second leading goal scorer with 13. She was named All-State Second Team, All-Region First Team, All-District First Team, and Express News All-Area Super Team and 6A All-Area Team.
In her sophomore season, the Lady Rattlers were District Champs and Brooke was named All-District First Team and was the second-leading goal scorer.
As a freshman, she was the second leading goal scorer and was awarded All-District Honorable Mention.
With a 4.0 GPA, Brooke will graduate Summa Cum Laude. She is a member of the National Spanish Honor Society. She was Academic All-District in 2020, 2021, and 2022 and is expected to be named Academic All-State and Academic All-District in her upcoming senior season.
Brooke is joining a very successful Regis Women’s Soccer program. Regis has been regular season champs six times and conference tournament champs three times. Regis has made ten NCAA tournament post-season appearances.
Regis Head Coach Jeff Frykholm shared his thoughts about Brooke, “We are so excited to have Brooke joining our program at Regis next fall. From the first time we saw her video highlights, we knew we had found a special player. Brooke is relentless in front of goal, scores goals left, right, and center, and is so talented on the ball. She offers athleticism and an attacking mindset that is so hard to find in players. Moreover, as we have gotten to know her throughout the recruiting process, it has become clear that she is a special human being as well — a great student, attentive, focused, and committed to who she is and what she does. We could not be happier to add her to the Regis Women’s Soccer program, and look forward to seeing her score dozens of goals in a Regis jersey in the next few years!”
