Today Lady Rattlers senior midfielder Bella Hartofelis signed her national letter of intent to play soccer for Troy University. Bella, a three-year letterman and starter, is graduating in December to get an early start on her college soccer and academic career.
The Lady Rattlers advanced all the way to the Elite Eight during Bella’s freshman season. She was named District 28-6A Newcomer of the Year and All-District First Team – midfielder.
During her sophomore season, she was named District 28-6A All-District First Team – midfielder and TASCO All-Region First Team – midfielder.
In her junior season, Bella was a team captain and led the Lady Rattlers in goals with 17 and points with 40. She was named District 28-6A All-District First Team – midfielder and TASCO All-Region First Team – midfielder.
Bella was named District 28-6A Academic All-District every year.
Bella has been invited to multiple US Youth Soccer National Training ID camps and Women’s National Team U14 Region Camp and U14-U16 player pool. She also was selected for the USYS ODP State and Region 3 teams. In club soccer play, she was a team captain, was named an ECNL Texas Conference Player to Watch, and led her team to five consecutive ECNL national playoffs. She is an IMG 3-star recruit.
Here is what Troy Head Coach Stuart Gore has to say about Bella: “What stood out to us straight away with Bella is her work ethic. She’s blue collar, does all the dirty work without even being asked. She’s calm on the ball and is a leader by example. We have high hopes for Bella.”
