Lady Rattlers Soccer still tops the District 28-6A standings and faces off against Johnson in the 12th Annual Ian’s Cup game Friday night at Blossom West. In the first round, the Lady Rattlers defeated the Jags 2-0, and the Reagan boys won 3-0. Come out to cheer Reagan to victory over the Jags at 5 pm (girls) and 7 pm (boys), while also supporting a good cause!
The stakes are high in this always exciting battle between district rivals for district standings, bragging rights, and the coveted Ian’s Cup! The Cup goes to the school with the highest aggregate score.
At the end of the games, the Ian’s Cup trophy will be presented to the winning school and four scholarships will be awarded to deserving Reagan and Johnson seniors selected by the Ian’s Foundation board.
Show your Reagan spirit by sporting 2021 Ian’s Cup apparel available for purchase online at www.IansCup.org and (hopefully) also Friday night at the games. Proceeds go to Ian’s Foundation, the scholarship foundation in memory of Ian Fincke, who tragically died in October 2008, at the age of 16, as a result of a traumatic brain injury sustained during a skateboarding accident. For more information about Ian’s story and the good work of the memorial Ian’s Foundation, check out www.IansFoundation.org.
