The Lady Rattlers won their last three games handily, beating District foes Roosevelt and LEE by margins of 50 and 41, respectively, and garnered a 17-point win over Antonian Prep in between.
The Ladies took their well-balanced play into the District race, with all 12 active players scoring in the Roosevelt game, and nine scoring in the LEE contest. Stats of note in the Roosevelt game were C Iwuala with 15 points and seven rebounds, S Wagner with 15 points and 5 steals, and R Stephens, J Lopez and A Edozie with six points each. Notable stats for LEE were Wagner with 25pts/9reb/5asst/5stls and Iwuala with 21pts/11reb. B Bormet shot 67% from three going two for three attempts for six points, and K Hawkins had five assists and four steals.
The game against #2 state-ranked 6A TAPPS was played in between the first two district contests. It was a tight game for the first half, but the Rattlers pulled ahead in the second half and won by a final score of 58-41. The starters carried the majority of the load in this one, with Wagner at 17pts/9reb/5asst/2blk, Iwuala with 16pts/14reb/4blk, Bormet with 11pts/4reb, Hawkins with 8pts/3reb/6asst/3stl and M Noack with 4pts/3asst.
