Lady Rattlers Delaney Greer commits to Play Soccer at The University of Mary Hardin Baylor

April 15, 2026

Senior Delaney Greer is a midfielder for the Rattlers and has committed to continue her soccer and academic career at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, TX. Delaney started playing soccer when she was four years old, and from the beginning fell in love with the game. Throughout the years she has been inspired by her dad who has pushed her to grow both on and off the field. Delaney looks up to Julie Ertz of the USWNT for her incredible work ethic and the intensity she brings to every match.

Delaney’s senior year she earned Unanimous First Team All District-Midfielder. One of her favorite Reagan memories was winning the Ian’s Cup game and taking home the trophy. “It meant so much because it reflected not only my love to compete, but also the bond we had as a team.”

Delaney will play for 2x ASC Coach of the Year Barry Elkins who has been with the Cru since April 2012. “I am excited to have Delaney joining the team this fall! She has very intrinsic defensive qualities matched with a technical ability that will allow her to play in the midfield or on the back line,” Coach Elkins said. “I think she fits our style and culture extremely well and will be a valuable member of the group!”

Delaney plans to study pre-law and then attend Law School. “From the moment I stepped on UMHB campus, it felt like the perfect fit both athletically and academically,” she said. “I am beyond excited to join the UMHB community, build new relationships, and compete at the next level in the sport I love.”
