The Lady Rattler Track Team competed at the Cedar Ridge Raider Relays this past Saturday. The weather was beautiful; the competition, fierce; and our girls had much to celebrate–placing in almost every event contested.
Some of the most memorable moments include Holly Hyrnyshyn’s PR in the Shot Put; Pole Vaulters (Emili Labanna and Kirby Hayden) both cleared season bests of 9’ and SHARED the Bronze medal (literally); and our gold-medal-earning Sprint Medley Relay performance by Lizzie Reinke, Kate Ryan, Mikayla Hinojosa, and Grace Fraga got the crowd to it’s feet. Gold medals are often earned by our Lady Rattlers; however, this one was special: a come-from-behind victory by four 1st-time Varsity racers—beautiful execution and even more inspiring grit!
