Kala Davis Commits to Play Soccer for Central Methodist University

February 3, 2021

Today Lady Rattlers senior defender Kala Davis signed her official letter of intent to play soccer for the nationally ranked Central Methodist University in Fayette, Missouri. Kala is a three-year letterman and has been named Academic All-District. Kala was twice named her club team MVP for the 2016-2017 and 2017-2018 seasons.

It is fitting that we celebrate Kala’s outstanding accomplishment at Reagan’s signing day ceremony today on this National Girls & Women in Sports Day. #StrongerWithSports #NGWSD

What Central Methodist University Head Coach Dan Schmidlin has to say about Kala: “We are excited to add Kala to our CMU Soccer Family. We believe she has potential to make an immediate impact on the field. She has a great attitude and we think that she will have a positive impact on the community as well. I am looking forward to watching her growth over the next 4 years.

In 2019, CMU women’s soccer went 22-0-1 and 11-0 in the Heart of America Conference, was the Heart of America Conference Regular Season and Tournament Champions, and made it to the NAIA National Tournament Round of 16. CMU women’s soccer has had 9 consecutive winning seasons.
