Jett Thompson Commits to University of Houston Cougar Football

As part of National Signing Day, Jett Thompson has committed to play football and continue his academic studies with the University of Houston in Houston, Texas.  The Houston Cougars football program is an NCAA Division 1 team which joined the Big 12 Conference in July 2023.

Thompson is a three-year Varsity Letterman, with all 3 years at Reagan High School as a Defensive End and Outside Linebacker. In his Senior year, he had 120 tackles, 2 blocked punts, 1 fumble recovery, 1 interception, 3 deflections and 5 QB Hurries. Thompson helped lead the Reagan Rattlers to an undefeated season, earning the Rattlers the title of 2023 District 28-6A champions. This past January, Thompson represented Reagan Football in the San Antonio Sports All-Star game played at the Alamodome.  Thompson was named to 1st team All-District in his Junior and Senior years, with his Junior year being by unanimous vote.

Thompson was also on the Rattler Baseball team from his freshman to junior years. During his freshman and sophomore years, he played JV Basketball for Reagan.  In addition to athletics, Thompson has been involved with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), Reagan Football Leadership Council, and Crossbridge Community Church.
