Jairo Kirk commits to University of Mary Hardin-Baylor

April 15, 2026

Today, Reagan’s Jairo Kirk signed his commitment to continue his athletic and academic career at the college level with the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

Jairo Kirk joined Reagan’s tennis program as a freshman, an exciting step he had long looked forward to. That year, he was the only freshman boy on the team, a challenge that pushed him to grow.

He has played tennis for nine years and has remained focused on improving his game throughout high school. A letterman since his freshman year, Jairo has developed a strong foundation as a left-handed player, using his serve and angles to his advantage, particularly in doubles play. During his varsity career, he has advanced beyond district competition and is a three-time regional qualifier. In 2025, he also qualified for the state tennis tournament.

Jairo enjoys competing alongside a partner, helping create a strong and competitive team environment. His experience includes winning the NEISD Invitational with his doubles partner, demonstrating both his skill and his ability to succeed in team settings.

In addition to his athletic achievements, Jairo has remained committed to his academics, maintaining an A average throughout all his years of high school and earning All-Academic Athletic recognition over the past three years.

Jairo shared that some of his most meaningful memories come from the relationships he built with his teammates and the moments they shared competing together. He also comes from a family that shares a strong passion for tennis, and their ongoing support has played an important role in his development both on and off the court.

Looking ahead, Jairo is excited to take the next step and continue growing as both a student and an athlete at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor.

“Reagan has helped shape me as both a player and a person, and I’m grateful for my teammates, coaches, and family who have supported me throughout this journey,” Jairo Kirk said.
