Hinojosa named Player of the Week; Reagan moves to #1 in E-N Area Rank



August 31, 2015 – Congratulations to Tori Hinojosa for being named San Antonio Express News Player of the Week and to Reagan for moving up to #1 in the Area Rankings.

Player of the week

Tori Hinojosa, Reagan: setter, senior — Named MVP after helping the Rattlers win the 48-team Volleypalooza in Leander, racking up 134 assists, 83 digs, 21 kills, nine aces and eight blocks.

Game balls

Brandeis’ Jordan Jefferson had 79 kills — 16 in her team’s District 27-6A-opening win over O’Connor — as the Broncos went 10-0 and won the Seguin tournament, and she was named MVP.

Brennan’s Arabella Hall tallied 37 kills, 17.5 blocks, and was all-tournament as the Bears finished second at the Mizuno Texas Showdown.

Smithson Valley’s Kainah Williams was all-tournament after recording 47 kills and nine blocks as the Rangers went 8-1 and finished third at the Mizuno Texas Showdown.

Devine’s Kara Stacy had 59 kills, 48 digs and 14 aces as Arabians went 7-0 and won the Pearsall tournament.
