Green Bay Packer, Ty Summers, continues making an impact at Reagan

July 2, 2022

Our community was thrilled to welcome former Reagan alum and now NFL Green Bay Packer, Ty Summers, to Reagan to host a free Football Camp and Showcase. Kids from all over San Antonio participated in the camp led by Summers and sponsored by the BamFam Foundation. Ty not only shared his expertise of the game, but surprised campers by giving away game cleats, gloves, and other personal football items.

Ty was drafted by the Green Bay Packers in the seventh round of the 2019 NFL Draft. As a Linebacker/Special Teams, he’s racked up impressive stats for the 2019, 2020, and 2021 seasons. Check out his Packers career stats and biography here.

Prior to the NFL, Ty played for Texas Christian University (TCU) where he made an impact as a Linebacker and Defensive End. He also earned Academic All-Big 12 honors in 2015, 2017, and 2018.

Ty graduated from Reagan in 2014, where he was Team Captain for the Rattlers playing both quarterback and safety. His last season at Reagan, he earned numerous honors including All-State Quarterback Honorable Mention, San Antonio Offensive Player of the Year, E-N San Antonio All-Area 1st Team, Unanimous 1st Team All-District, Academic All State Honorable Mention, and Reagan HS Football MVP. He was a three year varsity letterman in Football and two year letterman in Track.

Thank you Ty for continuing to make an impact on and off the field! We wish you and the Green Bay Packers all the best in the next season! #RattlerPride #GoPack
