Both Freshman Green and White Teams traveled to O’Connor High School Friday night to embark on their journey in the Rattler Football Program. After weeks of preparation the two teams were eager to take the field. The Green team tipped off the first game with an incredible opening kick off return for 80 plus yards for an early score. This score gave a confidence that the work had paid off. However, Texas High School football is a game off ebb and flows and the lack of experience showed in costly mistakes and miscues that delivered a heart breaking defeat to the Panthers by the score of 24-22.

The White team watched the Green game with much anticipation to take the field and it showed that they would not allow the same mistakes to occur. With swarming Defense pressure that included 2 safteys to go along with the grinding multi-dimensional offensive attack, the Rattler White Team devoured the Panthers 24-0.

Both teams look to keep improving in their next campaign against Kerrville Tivy. The games will be
at Tivey on Thursday, September 4th. Games begin at 4:30 and 6 PM.
