Football’s Cademon Garcia Heading to Texas Lutheran University

April 15, 2026

Cademon Zane Garcia, a senior at Reagan High School, will be recognized during the school’s upcoming Signing Day ceremony for earning a scholarship to attend Texas Lutheran University this fall. A team captain and respected leader both on and off the field, Garcia has demonstrated consistency, discipline, and accountability throughout his high school career.

His leadership within the football program reflects not only his athletic performance but also his ability to set standards and positively influence team culture. During his senior season, Garcia earned Second Team All-District Offensive Line honors, received Offensive Player of the Week recognition, and was selected to participate in the San Antonio All-Star Game—distinctions that highlight his dedication, skill, and impact on the field. He is also finishing his time at Reagan with a number of accolades in Track & Field and Wrestling: he was Varsity for Track & Field all four years, and was both a Regionals qualifier (10th & 11th grade) and State qualifier (12th grade) for Wrestling.

In addition to his athletic achievements, he will be the first in his family to attend college on scholarship—marking a significant milestone and establishing a strong foundation for future generations.

At Texas Lutheran University, he plans to study Kinesiology, focusing on developing his understanding of human performance and exploring long-term career opportunities within the field. This achievement represents a combination of structured effort, leadership development, and a sustained commitment to both academic and athletic excellence.

Head Coach Meyers shared his enthusiasm, stating, “We are really excited for Cademon and his family. TLU is getting a good one, and we look forward to watching him continue to excel at the next level.”
