Football and Cheer visit Independence Hill

June 15, 2017

June 15, 2017. The Freshman and Sophomore football players, along with cheer, visited Independence Hill on June 15th as one of their service projects.   It was an awesome experience for all involved!

Coach Hamilton and Coach Hill walked the residents through the Reagan football program.  In addition, the boys played a toss game and cheer did a cheer plus stunts!  Next, all of the kids mingled with the residents where they asked them about their life, where they came from etc. and the kids told the residents a little about themselves. This annual visit gives the residents and athletes some great time together to talk and learn from each other.

One of the Independence Hill staff said, “it was magical watching the boys and girls interact with the residents”.

The Junior and Senior football players will visit Independence Hill in July.  They plan to play a scrimmage for the residents.

Reagan football is focusing on bringing the Stone Oak and Reagan communities closer and hope to get the residents to a game this fall!
