Express-News breaks down Area’s Volleyball playoff picture

October 17, 2016 – San Antonio Express Newswriter, Terrence Thomas, breaks down the Area’s Volleyball playoff picture. With two weeks remaining in the area’s regular season, here’s Thomas’ assessment for District championships and playoffs:

District 26-6A

“Who’s in: Reagan (33-4, 9-0)

On the cusp: Churchill (22-18, 7-3) and Johnson (19-22, 7-3)

The skinny: Reagan clinches the district title with one more win, while Churchill and Johnson can secure playoff berths with one more victory. The final playoff berth will come down to MacArthur and Madison. MacArthur (20-18, 5-5) has the inside track. Madison (19-21, 4-5) has to win at least two of its final three matches – the Mavericks play Reagan, Johnson and Lee – and hope MacArthur loses once to force a playoff tiebreaking match.”

Reagan Rattlers play the Johnson Jaguars on Tuesday, October 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Littleton Gym. Be there to cheer on your Rattlers!
