Elias Leon signed his National Letter of Intent today to play baseball at Temple College in Temple, TX. Temple College is a Division I junior college that belongs to the North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference in the NJCAA Region 5.
Elias is a 1-year Varsity letterman in baseball and plays catcher and first base for the Rattlers. Elias has a .265 BA, .431 OBP, and .378 SLG. He has 26 hits including 6 doubles and 1 triple along with 1 grand slam. He has 27 RBIs.
Elias played 1 summer with the San Antonio Lobos.
Elias had this to say about his commitment to Temple College, “I thank God for the abilities to develop in this sport, and today, April 24, I continue to thank God and my family for the unconditional support. Above all, I thank my family for believing in me to overcome each of these stages to reach this level and fulfill my dreams and goals in this new beginning of belonging and playing baseball at Temple College. Thank you.” Reagan Head Baseball Coach, Coach Chapman, said this about Elias, “Elias’ passion for baseball is probably second to none. He has had a really good year, also. He is a leader, and his teammates like him. He is a great teammate on top of that.” .”
