After a toss loss on Friday, the Reagan Softball team ended a three-day NEISD Tournament with a 5-3 win over McAllen on Saturday afternoon. Down two runs heading into the fourth inning, Freshman Sadie Eckles singled on a line drive to center field to drive in three runs and give Reagan the lead. That proved to be enough for Reagan pitcher Presley Noriega, who collected the win. The freshman lefty allowed three runs on four hits with two strikeouts and no walks.
Eckles was 2-3 on the day with a double and single. Shreya Fifadara also added two hits for the Rattlers.
The team returns to District play this week. They will face Marshall on Tuesday, February 28 at 4:30 at the Northeast Softball Complex, West Field.
