The District 28-6A Diving Championships were held tonight at the Josh Davis Natatorium. The 2024 RRHS District Dive Team included Narya Chiuminatto (junior), Caroline Holcomb (junior), Ryan Martinez (sophomore) and Chloe Ruan (freshman). Despite stiff competition, three Reagan divers qualified to advance to the Region VII Class 6A Diving Championship meet on February 9–10, 2024:
1st Place- Caroline Holcomb
4th Place- Chloe Ruan
5th Place- Ryan Martinez
Caroline Holcomb’s first-place finish earned her the distinction of being named the women’s district champion and the women’s diver of the meet for the third year in a row.
Coach Michael Rourke was also named coach of the meet.
As the diver’s catch their breath, 34 Reagan swimmers are looking forward to the 2024 District Swimming Competition, which begins with preliminaries on Friday, January 26 and ends with district finals on Saturday, January 27.
Congratulations to the RRHS divers who have already cemented their qualifying spots for regions, and good luck to the athletes on the 2024 RRHS District Swim Team who are vying for their own chance to advance to regions!
