Reagan High School proudly celebrates David Villarreal, who has officially signed his National Letter of Intent to continue his academic and athletic career at Texas Lutheran University, where he will compete in Division III Men’s Soccer.
A 3-year Varsity Letterman, David has been a standout midfielder for the Reagan Rattlers under Coach Gilbert Villarreal. He has been a starting player since his sophomore year, consistently bringing vision, control, and energy to the midfield. David’s leadership was recognized when he served as Team Captain during his junior year, guiding the team both on and off the field.
His on-field achievements include:
Second Team All-Region Midfielder/District 27-6A First Team – Midfielder (2025)
Two-Time Second Team All-District Honoree
Instrumental contributor to the 2022–2023 fifth-round playoff run
Key player in the 2025 District Championship victory
In addition to his athletic success, David has shown exceptional academic dedication, earning Academic All-Region honors for three consecutive years.
David will be majoring in Finance at Texas Lutheran University, bringing his same drive and commitment to the classroom that he showed on the pitch.
