Led by standout freshman Elly Spurlock, who finished 11th with an impressive time of 19:41, the Reagan Varsity Girls Cross Country team secured 2nd place overall in a highly competitive field of 107 runners. Senior Theone Glosser followed close behind in 13th place, with juniors Reese Sweatman (16th), Paige Opaska (17th), and Ariana Stark (21st) rounding out Reagan’s top five finishers.
The Reagan Varsity Boys team also delivered a strong performance, earning 3rd place out of 213 runners. Sophomore Logan Martinez led the team, placing 9th with a time of 16:23. He was followed by senior Sam Ackerman (23rd), senior Aedin Barnes (37th), junior Jeffery Conrad (48th), and senior Adrian Lemaire (52nd), all scoring for the Rattlers.
Next up, your Rattler Cross Country team is headed to the Southwest ISD Invite at the Southwest Football Stadium on Saturday, September 6th, with races starting at 7:30 AM.
