Congratulations to the 14 women and 15 men on the 2024-2025 RRHS Water Polo team for a great season, which officially came to a close this week. In a vast improvement since the RRHS Swim & Dive team added water polo to their portfolio four years ago, the team won 13 and tied in two matches this year compared to the one game they won last year.
In the regular season, the women earned 6 wins, 9 losses and a tie. The men earned 7 wins, 8 losses and a tie. Both records propelled the teams to a spot in the bi-districts playoffs! What the numbers don’t show is the increased skill, teamwork, resilience and tenacity these athletes demonstrated throughout the season. We can’t wait to see what new heights Head Aquatics Coach Michael Rourke brings out of next season’s team.
Many of these athletes have transitioned to the Swim & Dive season, which opened last week. Stay tuned for more action from this award-winning team!
