Coach Moczygemba selected as Regional Assistant Coach of the Year by NHSBCA

Baseball’s Assistant Coach, Reagan Moczygemba, was selected as Regional Assistant Coach of the Year for the 2014 season by the National High School Baseball Coaches Association (NHSBCA).  Coach Moczygemba, known at Reagan High School as “Coach Mooch”, will be honored at the Hall of Fame Banquet at the NHSBCA Convention this weekend in Nashville, Tennessee.

Coach Mooch grew up in Bulverde, Texas and graduated from Smithson Valley High School in 2006. Coach Mooch played football and baseball for Smithson Valley and was an All-District and All-State Player. He went on to play college baseball for St. Mary’s University where he was an All Conference and All Region Player.  After graduating college, he began his career as a volunteer assistant at Smithson Valley High School before being hired by Reagan High School in the fall of 2012. He coaches both football and baseball for the Rattlers. For baseball, Coach Mooch is the hitting coach, as well as the catcher’s coach.  He is also the special teams coordinator and cornerback coordinator for football.  Mooch is married to Brittany Wilson and in addition to time with his family, he enjoys hunting and fishing.

Congratulations to Coach Mooch for this outstanding recognition by the NHSBCA!
