Baseball’s Jagger Edwards commits to Columbia University

November 11, 2020

As part of Reagan’s Signing Day ceremony, Jagger Edwards confirmed his commitment to play baseball and continue his academics at Columbia University in New York City.

Edwards is a 2 year Varsity Letterman for the Rattlers as a pitcher.  He also played select baseball for the South Texas Sliders. Among his baseball highlights, he was selected for the 2019 16U National Championship All Tournament Team and was a WWBA Atlanta All Tournament Pitcher.

He also achieved Academic All District for 2019-2020, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is in the top 5% of his class.

In addition to Baseball, Edwards has been involved with community service at McAllister Park Little League, The Children’s Shelter and is a member of Oak Hills Church.

Regan Baseball’s Head Coach, Chans Chapman, commented that, “Jagger is a hard worker and will also be on of our top pitchers.   He’s obviously very intelligent being that he is going to attend Columbia. Looking for big things from him.”

We wish Edwards the best of luck as a Lion!  You can follow him next year on Twitter @CULionsBaseball.
