Aquatics Team Captures Silver, Bronze, Sets 1 Region Record, 2 School Records at Region VII-6A Championship Meet

The Reagan Women’s and Men’s swimming and diving team won Silver and Bronze, respectively, at today’s Region VII-6A Championship meet.  The Women’s team placed 2nd with 331 points to Johnson’s 1st place finish with 392 points.  The Men’s team placed 3rd with 262 points to Churchill’s 305 points.  With scores combined, Reagan won with 593 points, with Johnson placing 2nd with 575 points.

Junior Morgan Bartley set a new Region VII-6A record and new Reagan record in the 50 Yard Freestyle.

Junior Luke Prior tied the Reagan record in the 50 Yard Freestyle set in 2008 by Paul Leonhardt.

The Reagan Aquatics team produced 3 individual and 1 relay Region Champions, and will be sending the top 2 finishers in each event on to the UIL State Class 6A Swimming and Diving Championships on Friday and Saturday, February 14th and 15th at UT.
