December 26, 2018 – Reagan Football players Preston Yates, Carson Pharris, and J.T. Mulligan (pictured L to R), will be among the players selected to play in the All-Star Football game, presented by HEB. Players are nominated through their varsity coaches, and selected by an All-Star Selection Committee.
Preston Yates, Defensive Line, is a two year Varsity letterman for Reagan Football. This year, Yates was named All District First Team and Academic All State Second Team. He was also named Player of the Week in the games against Johnson, Churchill, and MacArthur. Yates currently holds an offer from the Colorado School of Mines, but is undecided at this time. Yates also has an incredible voice and received All State Choir in 2017 and sang the National Anthem prior to the Reagan vs Johnson Varsity Football game.
Carson Pharris, Offensive Line, has signed to play at New Mexico State University in Las Cruces. Pharris is a three year Varsity letterman and received All District First Team (2018, 2017), Academic All State Second Team (2018), and Player of the Week against O’Connor in this year’s playoffs. He is also a Senior Class Officer, President of Future Educators of America, and volunteers weekly with Special Olympics.
J.T. Mulligan, Defensive Back/Safety, is a three year Varsity letterman. He received Academic All State Honorable Mention (2018) and was also Player of the Week against Churchill. Mulligan has offers from the Air Force Academy and Angelo State University, but is currently undecided.
The All-Star Game is scheduled for January 5, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. in the Alamodome and follows the All-American Bowl game at noon. CLICK HERE to purchase tickets and view full rosters.
