Reagan’s Aidan Phelan has signed his National Letter of Intent to play Division I Men’s Soccer at Michigan State University (MSU) and play in the Big 10 Conference. The Spartans are 2-time National Champions and have 19 appearances in the NCAA D1 Tournament. In addition to playing soccer, Aidan plans to study business.
Aidan is a 4-year Varsity Letterman and 2-time Captain for the Reagan Rattlers. Aidan played multiple positions for Coach Villareal, including the midfield and as a winger. He finished his senior year leading the team with 12 goals and 5 assists, was named 1st team All-District, 1st team All Region and team Offensive MVP, to help the team finished in 2nd place in District. Aidan was a Captain and an integral player in last year’s team that finished Undefeated in District and played in the Regional Finals. Aidan finished his soccer career at Reagan with 30 goals and 15 assists. He was 3-time 1st Team All-District, 4-time Academic All-District, 1st Team All-Region and 1st Team Academic All-State.
Aidan played club soccer for Lonestar South ECNL in Austin and helped them qualify for playoffs 2 years.
Aidan will graduate Magna Cum Laude. He is a member of the National Honors Society and has volunteered countless hours at Independence Hill Senior Living, Feast of Sharing, Elf Louise and the San Antonio Food Bank.
