Dear Reagan Nation,

It is with great pride that I have spent the last 13 seasons as the Athletic Coordinator/Head Football Coach at Ronald Reagan High School.

You have been so gracious to take care of me and my family during this time.  We will forever be grateful to the Reagan community and family.  We have lifelong friendships and many special relationships from our time here.

I will be accepting a role on Baylor University’s football staff.  This is a career move that I cannot pass up. Giving back to my alma mater has always been a goal of mine.   My time at Reagan has allowed me to have this outstanding opportunity.

My family and I truly appreciate the feeder schools of the Reagan cluster, in this amazing district, for educating our children.  The opportunity given to me to grow as a coach and mentor in NEISD is a gift I will always treasure.

Special thanks to all of the outstanding faculty and staff at Reagan High School.  Thank you for allowing me to be a part of something very special for the last several years.

There have been many outstanding young men who have played on our football teams during my tenure.  I am eternally thankful for all those relationships with players and parents developed through the game of football.  Rattler Football is in great shape.  There are great young men led by an outstanding staff of coaches.  I will always be cheering for the Rattlers…..and still able to wear Green!

Strike em Rattlers!

God’s Blessings to each and every one of you!

David Wetzel
