October 8, 2026

Words can’t describe how proud we are of this team! Reagan took the courts with one mindset: play one point at a time and trust the countless hours of practice that brought them here.

On Thursday, October 8, the team met at Wimberley High School to face Austin’s Lake Travis in an intense Area showdown.

Girls Doubles

Line 1: Estefania Scanlon and Dhanvi Vagal dropped the first set 4–6 but came back strong, winning the second 6–2 and taking the match to a super tiebreaker. With fierce net play and relentless determination, they fought for every point and secured an exciting win, igniting the sidelines!

Line 2: Hallie Crofts and Naya Chreitah battled through a tight first set, winning the tiebreaker before carrying that momentum into the second set for a convincing 6–3 victory.

Line 3: Dana Lee and Heidi Wilkinson gave it their all in a tough match but unfortunately fell short.

Boys Doubles

The boys faced equally intense competition, with every point hard-earned.

Line 1: Pablo Alvarez and Nathan Washington fought through two highly competitive sets, narrowly losing the first in a tiebreaker before unfortunately falling short.

Line 2: Ryan Totorica and Finn Thanairongroj delivered a fantastic performance, winning the first-set tiebreaker and closing out the second set 6–3 to claim the victory!

Line 3: David Lopez and Andres Taylor split the first two sets before heading into a super tiebreaker, but unfortunately, the result didn’t go their way.

With doubles complete, the team was tied with Lake Travis at 3–3.

Mixed Doubles

Iris Wang and Jerry He brought tremendous energy and focus, earning a commanding 6–1, 6–3 victory to put Reagan ahead 4–3!

Singles: The Final Showdown

With little time to rest, the team headed straight into singles, fielding five girls and five boys.

Iris Wang, Dhanvi Vagal, Naya Chreitah, Ryan Totorica, and Finn Thanairongroj secured singles wins, putting Reagan in a strong position. After several tough losses, the score stood at 9–6, with three matches still on court: David Lopez, Camila Torres, and Hallie Crofts.

All three were leading, but the Area victory would go to whoever finished first. The deciding match came down to Hallie, who battled through a long match into a super tiebreaker, hustling for every ball and fighting for every point. When she clinched the win, her teammates rushed the court in celebration as Reagan secured an unforgettable 10–6 Area victory over Lake Travis!

What a day, team! You made your coaches, teammates, families, school, and entire city proud. One point at a time, one team, one incredible victory!

But the fight isn’t over! Next up, we face Westlake! The date, location, and time are still to be determined, but the team is ready to keep the momentum going and continue the fight!

Way to go, Rattlers!

Strike ’em!
