The Reagan Rattlers varsity water polo teams concluded their regular district schedule last week with a pair of highly competitive matchups against Alamo Heights High School at the Bill Walker Pool.
The evening was highlighted by a special senior recognition ceremony honoring the dedication and leadership of Teddy Caskey, Connor Mayo, and Caleb Liu. These seniors have anchored the program through a highly competitive district run, setting a powerful example for the underclassmen as the team transitions into win-or-go-home Bi-District playoffs.
Girls Varsity: Alamo Heights 12, Reagan 5
The Lady Rattlers put up a fierce defensive effort against a potent Alamo Heights offense, ultimately falling by a score of 5-12. Junior Allie Callister led the regular season offensive attack, accumulating an impressive 54 goals and 113 shots overall. Junior Audrey Cain earned Player of the Game honors, executing critical plays and guiding the team’s transition game under heavy pressure. The girls finish the district season in 4th place.
Boys Varsity: Alamo Heights 18, Reagan 16
The boys’ matchup was an absolute offensive showcase. The Rattlers traded goals in a high-scoring battle, narrowly missing a victory in a tight 16-18 loss. Stat leaders juniors Alexander Hibberd (61 goals) and Ben Theesfeld (46 assists) kept the Rattlers within striking distance all night, while senior goalkeeper Teddy Caskey anchored the defense with 137 saves on the season. Junior Kai Tse was named Player of the Game for his all-around performance where he ranked in the team’s top three overall for goals made, assists, and steals, displaying exceptional playmaking and pure grit in the pool.
UIL Texas Bi-District Playoffs
Both squads advance to the postseason, carrying their regular-season momentum straight into the playoffs. Come out and support your Rattlers at the following times:

- Boys Varsity vs. Davenport High School: Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 4:30 PM at Davenport High School.
