The Reagan Rattlers water polo teams continue to compete with determination as district play moves forward. Both the girls and boys teams faced Alamo Heights and Johnson in a pair of challenging matchups, coming up short in both games but continuing to show growth, resilience, and improvement.
Girls Water Polo
The Rattler girls battled Alamo Heights, falling 10-14 in a competitive matchup, then faced Johnson, finishing with a 5-16 loss. Despite the results, the girls continue to build experience and make adjustments as district competition intensifies. Allie Callister leads the team with 51 goals and 19 assists, while Caitlin Chmiola has recorded 13 steals. In goal, Veronica Viramontes Perez has made 62 saves, providing a strong presence for the Rattler defense.

Boys Water Polo
The Rattler boys also faced Alamo Heights, battling through a 11-16 loss, then faced Johnson in another hard-fought contest, falling 14-17. The boys continue to be led offensively by Alexander Hibberd, who has recorded 60 goals, while Kai Tse has added 56 goals. Ben Theesfeld leads the team with 43 assists and 20 steals, and Connor Mayo has contributed 29 assists. In goal, Teddy Caskey has recorded 124 saves, anchoring the Rattlers’ defense.

District play continues Friday, September 25, as the Rattlers take on Churchill at the Josh Davis Natatorium. The girls will play at 5:00 p.m., followed by the boys at 6:15 p.m..
