Thursday, August 27th, was game day against Churchill High School—and, as tradition demands, Reagan Tennis showed up ready to compete with a full-on American-themed face-painting celebration! 🇺🇸🎾
The evening started with a lightning alert that delayed play for nearly two hours. Once the players were finally able to take the courts, the schedule had to be rearranged, with the singles matches going first.
And what a start it was!
One line after another, Reagan players stepped onto the court and delivered win after win. We reached an incredible 9–0 lead, with the final singles match of the evening being played by Estefania Scanlon, who was leading 6–3, 5–1, 30/15 when another lightning alert was announced.
Play had to be suspended once again, with the final match unfinished.
The team was back on the courts at 7:00 a.m. Friday morning, determined to finish what they started. Reagan secured the final singles victory to complete the 10–0 sweep against Churchill!
But the team wasn’t ready to stop there. They continued into the doubles matches and once again dominated the courts, adding 8 more completed wins to bring the overall score to an incredible 18–0!
The final doubles line was still in progress when play was stopped, but the message was already clear: Reagan came to compete.
Nothing can stop this team.
Keep fighting. Keep pushing. Keep believing. And most importantly, keep giving us every reason to be proud. ❤️🎾
