Football’s Joseph “JC” Collazo signs with Midwestern State

April 23, 2025

Senior Rattler Joseph “JC” Collazo signed his NLI today with Midwestern State to continue his academic and athletic football career.

Collazo was a two-year starter for the Rattlers. He received First-Team All-District honors at Offensive Lineman in 2024.  He also received Honorable Mention All-District as a junior, contributing to the undefeated 27-6A District Championship in 2023.

Collazo also represented the USA in an international football competition, playing on the championship team that beat France, Denmark, Germany and Amsterdam in route to the title.

In his senior year, he also represented Reagan in the Valero All-Star Game as an offensive lineman, was named Offensive Player of the Year for Reagan for the 2024 season, and holds a 3.6 GPA.

“JC always has a smile on his face around the locker room but on the football field he transformed into a different guy,” said Coach Reagan Head Coach Preston Meyer.  “Every great offensive lineman I have been around has a nasty side and JC certainly does.   JC has been an anchor for our offensive line for the past two years and I expect him to provide the same for Midwestern State.”

Collazo plans to major in Mechanical Engineering with a minor in Petroleum Engineering at Midwestern State.  We wish JC all the best as a Midwestern State Mustang!
