The Reagan Softball team finished out the first round of district play with a 3-1 win over Northside foe Brandeis Broncos in Tuesday night’s action. Pitching phenom Ally Reyes (So.) gained her 14th win of the season while adding seven more Ks to her season leading strikeout total. Reagan’s offense was once again anchored by super Seniors, Avery Allen and Macie Thiel, with two hits apiece. Mina Galvan (So.) drove in two RBIs. Fresh off the previous Clark game, both Macie and Sadie Eckles (Jr.) sent homers out of the park, showing why the Reagan offense, along with strong pitching and steady defense, proves to be the reason they are near the top in a very tight District 28-6A race with a 5-2 district record (14-6 overall).
