Reagan wrestling hosted Judson High School on Thursday debuting the brand new mat generously donated to the program by the Diamondbackers Booster Club. Thank you Diamondbackers!!!
The evening started out with opportunities for JV wrestlers to get some mat time and there were exciting matches with wins and pins for both programs. The girls Varsity team battled hard and were competitive even in matches where we ultimately fell. There were 3 wins by pins, Spielmann, D Garcia, and Dunn. On the boys side, it was a hard fought win where every match point counted. OBrien, Whitethorn, and Bisesi all recorded pins, Schneiders and Jabour both had major decision wins, and Taylor and Hyslop left it on the mat in securing the needed 3 points.
JV wrestlers will be competing Friday and Varsity wrestlers on Saturday at the Roughrider Invitational at Roosevelt High School.
Strike’em.
