In the final game of the Round Rock Tournament, the Rattlers prevailed 12-5 vs McNeil High School.
The bats stayed hot once again with the team securing 13 hits in the game. Leading the way was Ashton Beaird with 3 singles, scoring 2 runs with 2 RBI’s. Other players with multiple hits were Caden Crofts (2 singles), Brennan Greer (1 single, 1 double and 4 RBI) and Caleb Cappuccio (1 single, 1 double and 3 runs scored).
Clayton Beckel started on the mound and went 1.1 innings before Cody Pictrowski relieved Beckel and went 2.2 innings, surrending one run while striking out three to get the win. Caleb Crider finished the last inning to close out the game.
The team went 5-0 over the weekend and return to district play when they meet Marshall HS on Tuesday, March 7 vs the Marshall Rams.
