Reagan Boys and Girls battled hard last Friday and Saturday at the UIL 4-6A Region Tournament. The Boys placed 4th out of 38 teams with 107 team points and the Girls came in 5th out of 37 teams with 78 team points. Eight athletes punched their ticket to next weekend’s State Tournament. “I am so proud of our team,” Head Coach Paul Miller said. “Since I have been at Reagan, we have not had a team that has been so successful. The best part is we are not done – we still have one more week and one more tournament to be great.”
Senior Jimmy Benne (144#) placed 2nd, scoring 23.5 team points.
Senior Sawyer Peevy (215#) placed 2nd, scoring 22 team points.
Junior Bryce Whitethorn (120#) placed 4th, scoring 18 team points.
Senior Nathan Almaguer (165#) placed 5th, scoring 14 team points.
Senior Ella Gransbery (132#) placed 2nd, scoring 24 team points.
Freshman Shobhana Spielmann (100#) placed 3rd, scoring 21 team points.
Senior Paris Gonzalez (165#) placed 4th, scoring 18 team points.
Sophomore Kayla Baker (126#) placed 5th, scoring 13 team points.
