After a long and winding process that began in the seventh grade with her first verbal offers and ended with offers from over 25 Division I universities, Reagan Senior Sammie Wagner has finally found her fit, committing to the University of Oregon Ducks to play Women’s Basketball in 2023.

Wagner also holds Reagan High School records in Points in a Career and Points in a Season, and is top four in school history in Rebounds (Season and Career), Assists (Season and Career), Three-Pointers Made (Season and Career), Free Throws Made (Season/Career), Blocks in a Career, and Free Throw Percentage in a Season.
Wagner spent nine years playing on the AAU/Club basketball circuit for SA Finest, a heralded Texas program led by Ray Caldwell. Wagner was a crucial player over her tenure with Finest on teams that won Adidas Nationals in 2021 and had Final Four appearances in both Adidas Nationals and the Super 64 National Championships in 2022.
