Reagan Girls earn SILVER in the UIL 6A State Track & Field Championships

What a fantastic day for Reagan Girls Track & Field competing amongst the best in Texas! The Rattlers took 2nd place overall behind returning state champion, DeSoto.  Our girls had amazing performances, with several PRs and SCHOOL RECORDS:

  • 1st place by Jasmine Montgomery in the 100M with a PR and NEW SCHOOL RECORD of 11.09.
  • 1st place by Jasmine Montgomery in the 200M with a PR and NEW SCHOOL RECORD of 22.94.
  • 2nd place in the 4×100 with a NEW SCHOOL RECORD of 45.00 by Madeline McElroy, Taylen Wise, Alyssa Quinones Mixon, and Jasmine Montgomery.
  • 4th place in the 4x200M Relay with a NEW SCHOOL RECORD of 1:38.12 by Madeline McElroy, Hunter Simmons, Alyssa Quinones, and Mackenzie Dagrosa.
  • 4th place in Triple Jump by Taylen Wise with a 39-4.75.
  • 5th place in Pole Vault by Alyssa Quinones tying her PR at 13′.
  • 9th place in 300 Hurdles by Taylen Wise with a 45.36.

Also representing Reagan at the State Meet as alternates were athletes Kiana Douglas, Aniya Ross, and Josephine Zink.

Our team will miss Seniors, Jasmine Montgomery, who is committed to the University of Oregon, and Madeline McElroy, who is committed to Texas Tech University. We look forward to continuing to watch these athletes make an impact at the next level.
