Assistant Boys Soccer
lsnyde2@neisd.netCoach Snyder joined Reagan in 2020 as Assistant Girls Soccer Coach and moved to Assistant Boys Soccer Coach in 2021. This year he will be teaching Physics; Honors Physics and has teaching certificates in Life Science and Composite Science.
Prior to Reagan, Coach Snyder taught and coached at Hastings High School in Alief ISD. During his years there, he had a winning record for his Freshman and JV teams all 10 years.
Coach Snyder received his degree from St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, majoring in Biology and Exercise Sports Science. He also played for the St. Mary’s Rattlers soccer team.
Coach Snyder is a proud NEISD alumnus, graduating from Roosevelt High
School.
Coach Snyder grew up with a father in the United States Air Force and that
allowed him the opportunity to travel, play soccer, and live in unique places like Japan and Germany.
Coach Snyder is married to Lindsay and they have a son, Kian.

Gilbert Villarreal

gvilla4@neisd.net<p style=”text-align: left”>Coach Gilbert Villarreal has been coaching boys soccer since 2002. Now in his 12th year as boys head coach at Reagan High School, Coach Villarreal has led the Rattlers to the playoffs every single year winning four District Championships, making six Regional Tournament appearances, four Regional Finals, one Regional Championship and one State Final appearance.</p>
<p style=”text-align: left”>In 2016, Coach Villarreal was the San Antonio Express News Coach of the Year. In 2018 he was named the State Coach of the Year for Texas High School Boys Large Schools and has been named TASCO Region IV Coach of the year on four occasions. From 2020 to 2022, he is serving as the President of the Texas Association of Soccer Coaches (TASCO).</p>
<p style=”text-align: left”>Prior to Reagan, he also coached soccer at Southside, MacArthur, and Steele High Schools.</p>
<p style=”text-align: left”>He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics from Austin College in Sherman, TX. While in college, Villarreal played soccer for the ‘Roos.</p>
<p style=”text-align: left”>Coach Villarreal is a product of NEISD, graduating from MacArthur High School.</p>
<p style=”text-align: left”>He is married to wife, Laura, and has two boys, Ethan and Evan.</p>

Jamey Howard
Head Athletic Trainer
jhowar@neisd.netCoach Howard joined the Reagan Athletic staff in 2003 and is currently our Head Athletic Trainer for all sports. Prior to Reagan, Coach Howard spent 8 years in the field at Fredericksburg and Clemens High Schools.
Coach Howard graduated from Angelo State University with a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology. He is also a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist.
He attended San Angelo Central High School where he excelled in Basketball and Track.
Coach Howard is married to Lexy and they have two children, Hadlee and Hilton.

Joe Martinez
Athletic Trainer
jmarti20@neisd.netCoach Martinez joined Reagan in 2015 as an Athletic Trainer and also teaches Sports Medicine. Prior to Reagan, he was the Athletic Trainer for the football team and women’s golf at the University of Colorado.
Martinez earned his Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training from the University of Texas and a Master of Science in Sports Administration from the University of New Mexico. He also is a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC), Licensed Athletic Trainer (LAT), and Certified Teacher in Physical Education.
He graduated from San Diego High School where he played both Football and Basketball.
Coach Martinez is married to Savannah and they have one child, Austin Marie.
