Rattlers top District 26-6A as undefeated District Champs

November 9, 2015

November 9, 2015  The Reagan football team has claimed their third straight District title!  The Rattlers finished the 2015 regular season 6-0 in district play and with an overall record of 10-0.  This is the second year the Rattlers have finished 6-0 in district play.

The Rattlers will face the Smithson Valley Rangers in a repeat of last year’s Bi-District round of the playoffs on Friday, November 13th at 7:30 at Comalander Stadium.   The Rattlers defeated Smithson Valley 21-14 in last year’s match up.

The UIL football playoffs at the 6A level are separated into two divisions. The top four teams from each district advance to the playoffs. The two schools with the highest enrollment automatically advance to the Division I bracket while the two remaining schools are placed in the Division II bracket. The teams in Division I will never meet the teams in Division II: there will be two 6A state champions crowned in December.

The four teams from 26-6A will be Reagan and Churchill in Division I and Johnson and MacArthur in Division II.  Click here to see the UIL 6A Division 1 playoff bracket.
